The Philippine Cancer Center (PCC) is an organization dedicated to cancer control, research, and capacity development as it aims to address the challenges of cancer in the Philippines. The Center is under the leadership of the Department of Health, specifically the Field Implementation and Coordination Team – NCR and South Luzon. It is divided into three units, each with a unique function. 

1. Cancer Control Technical Services and Information Resource Management Division (CCTSIRMD): This division is responsible for hospital development, strategic planning, and operational direction, including infrastructure and financial planning. It plays a crucial role in ensuring that cancer control initiatives are efficiently implemented and resources effectively managed.

2. Cancer Control Research Division (CCRD): Lead in PCC’s research initiatives. Some functions of the division are the establishment of the national cancer repository, capacitance of cancer research, and providing support in the planning and design of the PCC-Research Facility. The CCRD aims to enhance and strengthen cancer research in the country which seeks to support the innovation of cancer treatment in the country that is tailor fitted for Filipinos.

3. Administrative Unit – Management of the daily functions of the PCC, such as but not limited to human resources, property and procurement management, obligations and disbursements, and records keeping. The newly added Technical Support team handles the IT, architectural, and engineering designs of the PCC — ensuring a robust data center and building for the research facility and national specialty hospital.

Overall, the Philippine Cancer Center’s organizational structure reflects a comprehensive approach to combating cancer through technical services, information management, research, and coordinated efforts across different regions in the country.
