In accordance with Republic Act 11215, commonly known as the “National Integrated Cancer Control Act” and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (NICCA), the Philippine Cancer Center (PCC) shall oversee the Advanced Comprehensive and Basic Comprehensive Specialty Centers to ensure the delivery of quality services and strengthen the network of care across the country. This initiative, guided by Department Order 2021-0001, is designed to guarantee the delivery of top-notch cancer care services and strengthen the network of care nationwide.

PCC organized site visits beginning in 2022 with a primary focus of assessing the center’s infrastructure, medical equipment, and technology used for cancer diagnosis, treatment and monitoring. It also intends to look into the expertise and experience of the medical staff, learn about the various treatments offered by the cancer center and explore the service delivery design and continuum of cancer care in the Health Care Provider Network.
