Network of DOH-Designated Cancer Centers


The Network of DOH-Designated Cancer Centers is a strategically organized collaboration of medical facilities across the Philippines, aimed at delivering advanced and comprehensive care to patients battling cancer. This network is divided into two categories: Advanced Comprehensive and Basic Comprehensive, encompassing a total of 24 distinguished healthcare centers.

Under the Advanced Comprehensive Centers, a total of 11 exceptional centers are strategically located across the nation. Within the National Capital Region (NCR), six prominent establishments contribute their expertise: East Avenue Medical Center, Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, Lung Center of the Philippines, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, and Philippine Orthopedic Center. Beyond the NCR, the network extends its reach to Luzon with two esteemed centers, namely Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, as well as Bicol Medical Center. In the Visayas region, two institutions, namely Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center and Western Visayas Medical Center, further enhance the network’s comprehensive cancer care. Completing this remarkable network is the Southern Philippines Medical Center, located in Mindanao, making a total of 11 centers in the Advanced Comprehensive category.

The Basic Comprehensive Centers comprises 13 medical centers, each playing a vital role in extending cancer care to different regions of the Philippines. In Luzon, six institutions are contributing their resources and expertise: Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, Region I Medical Center, Cagayan Valley Medical Center, Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center, Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital, and Batangas Medical Center. The Bicol region is represented by the Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center. Visayas contributes two facilities: Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Region 6, and Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center in Region 8. The Mindanao region showcases its commitment through four medical centers: Zamboanga City Medical Center in Region 9, Northern Mindanao Medical Center in Region 10, Davao Regional Medical Center in Region 11, and Cotabato Regional and Medical Center in Region 12.
